Chorro Las Mozas, Valle de Anton
So you consider yourself an adventure geek huh? Ok, then the place that I am about to tell you is a complete MUST! This is a waterfall called “Chorro Las Mozas”, located in El Valle de Anton (Anton’s Valley). Valle de Anton is a wonderful location in Panama in the province of Cocle. It is a beautiful little town in the mountains where you can fully explore nature. It is increasingly abundant in its waterfalls, many of which I still have to explore, but this one has been definitely one of my favourites.

HOW TO GET TO EL VALLE DE ANTON?

First, how do I even get to El Valle de Anton? Well I would highly recommend going by car as it is the easiest and fastest option. If you are going by car from Panama City by going through either the “Puente de Las Americas” (America Bridge) or the “Puente Centenario” (Centennial Bridge) and then continuing on the “Carrera Interamericana” (Inter-American Highway). On the road you will see many signs on your right hand side that will guide you directly to El Valle. It will approximately take you 2 hours to get to El Valle and then about ten minutes to reach the entrance of “Chorro Las Mozas”. If you just got lost by just reading about these roads and bridges, just use Waze, type in “El Valle de Anton” and you will be on your way, it is that simple!

Another option that you could use if you do not possess or do not want to by car would be the bus. If you go the Grand Bus Terminal in Albrook you can purchase a ticket to "El Valle de Anton" window. This trip will be around 2 to 2 hours and a half and the cost per person is $3.50. The journey of the bus is the same as the one I have mentioned above if you are going by car.

HOW TO GET TO CHORRO LAS MOZAS?

This is a pretty easy one as all along El Valle you will see signs that point you to your desired destination “Chorro Las Mozas”. When you get to the little town of El Valle, you will pass the supermarket called “El Rey”, and very soon afterwards you will see these signs. Don’t worry, I promise you will not get lost! The first time that I went I had no idea where it was and I got there perfectly just by using the signs. This is the good thing about El Valle, since it is such a tourist oriented area they have signs everywhere regarding the exact location of must see places.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET TO CHORRO LAS MOZAS?

Once you get to the entrance of “Chorro Las Mozas” then you will have to pay $1 per person and then enter. If you have arrived by car then you can park the car there without a problem, don’t worry, it is safe! Again, I have mentioned before all of these places are signalised properly so you will have no way of getting lost. The time that I went, I began my journey by walking down on the right side of the river. You will enjoy a nice walk following the flow of the river until you reach the amazing waterfall as seen in the pictures. And yes, you can get it in! The water is nice and cold and goes perfectly with the warm sun, so yes, bring your bathing suit!
